Pinsent Masons is being sued by Spanish law firm Ramon & Cajal after failed talks about a potential merger. The Spanish law firm, represented by Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, claims that Pinsent Masons breached no-recruiting agreements with the firm after it hired 14 of the firm's lawyers in the months after talks broke down. According to the claim, the lawyers joined the UK law firm when it launched a Madrid office last May. Ashurst is representing Pinsent Masons.
