Reed Smith and Skadden lateral hires join Culhane Meadows in Chicago

The national US, cloud-based practice Culhane Meadows has attracted three female lateral hires from Reed Smith, Skadden Arps and Baker & McKenzie to open up a Chicago presence.

Culhane Meadows describes itself as a 'full-service national business law firm with attorneys based in Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, New York and Washington, DC'. Over half of its partners and 60% of its managers are female. 

Chicago chairs

The three lawyers joining up in Chicago are:  Angela Washelesky (formerly at Reed Smith), Susan Macaulay (formerly at Skadden Arps) and Paula Jill Krasny (formerly at Baker & McKenzie). Ms Washelesky was trademark chair at Reed Smith in Chicago and left Reed Smith in January. Ms Macaulay is a corporate lawyer who specialises in M&A and other transactions. Ms Krasny has helped build up global trademark portfolios for some leading brands. She was also Chicago chair of the Baker & McKenzie IP practice group.
