Revenue inches up at Norton Rose Fulbright

The firm has posted a modest increase in its global revenues for the last financial year as fluctuations in the US dollar placed a drag on growth.

Global turnover rose 3.4 per cent from £1.12bn to £1.16bn over the course of the last financial year. The firm is yet to release profit figures for 2014/15, but has been quick to emphasise that shifts in the value of global currencies against the US dollar were a key factor behind the somewhat subdued result. ‘In the past year, the sterling, euro, Australian and Canadian dollars and South African rand experienced significant negative moves against the US dollar,’ said a statement from the firm. If like-for-like exchange rates were used, NRF said that the firm’s revenue performance would have represented a higher 4.6 per cent increase.
