The Specialized Criminal Court in Jiddah has sentenced Waleed Abul-Khair to 15 years in jail for 'undermining the regime and officials' and 'inciting public opinion'.

The co-founder of the Monitor of Human Rights group in Saudi Arabia was also found guilty of ‘insulting the judiciary’. The court was established in 2008 to deal with terrorist cases.
