The campaign, which is being run by the council’s economic development arm Creative Sheffield, involves a team contacting law firms directly to discuss the benefits of using the city as a base. Deputy leader of Sheffield City Council Leigh Bramall described Sheffield as one of the most cost-effective cities in the UK for businesses looking to relocate, with office take-up ‘booming in light of major new developments and an up-turn in confidence in the market.’

Northbound firms

A number of firms have attempted to cut expenses by setting up low cost centres in the north and Sheffield is already home to a some major players, including DLA Piper.
