Sparke Helmore has merged with Perth insurance law firm Jarman McKenna with five partners - including founder Piet Jarman - joining the larger firm. The two firms went into merger talks six months ago and announced the deal in January. Most lawyers from Jarman McKenna have joined the newly merged firm adding 52 lawyers and staff to the mix and bringing Sparke Helmore's headcount to more than 700 people across Australia. The firm's offices are located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Newcastle, Perth, Sydney and Upper Hunter.
