Squire Patton Boggs expands cyber and data division

The law firm has acquired a litigation boutique founded by a former cybercrime prosecutor.

Squire Patton Boggs is expanding its cybersecurity and data privacy practice with the acquisition of a Dallas litigation boutique run by a former Department of Justice cybercrime prosecutor. Yarbrough Law Group president Matt Yarbrough joins Squire Patton along with an associate and a paralegal having launched the firm a decade ago. Prior to that, Mr Yarbrough was an equity partner at Fish & Richardson. Earlier he spent five years as an assistant US attorney in the Northern District of Texas. In that position where he led a cybercrimes and criminal intellectual property task force and assisted in setting up the Texas Internet Bureau, the first regional forensics lab focused on assisting the  FBI and state law enforcement fight identity theft, internet fraud and data breaches.
