Two new London partners have made the cut in the latest promotions round at Taylor Wessing.

Corporate lawyer Josef Fuss and finance senior associate Gareth Lawson have both been appointed to Taylor Wessing’s City partnership as part of this year’s partner promotion round, which has tallied 15 new partners worldwide. The pair are the first new London partners to be promoted by Taylor Wessing since its last promotions round in April 2015, when five lawyers were made up in the City.

Germany dominates round

This year’s new appointments reportedly took effect on 1 May this year, though there was a delay in collating promotion information from across Taylor Wessing’s other international offices. The bulk of the new partners hail from Germany, where the six lawyers that have been made up include a trio of new capital markets partners, as well as one each from commercial real estate, corporate and TMT. The Netherlands is next in line with three new partners, while Slovakia and Singapore have scored two new partners each.
