Team moves from Ropes & Gray to Gibson Dunn in Hong Kong

A team of four lawyers is joining Gibson Dunn in Hong Kong from Ropes & Gray to bolster its private equity, finance and securities practice.

The new corporate partners are Paul Boltz, Scott Jalowayski, Michael Nicklin and Brian Schwarzwalder and the team move has been described as 'a transformational step for the development of our Hong Kong office,’ by Kelly Austin, partner in charge of the Hong Kong office. The most senior of the group is Mr Boltz who served as the managing partner of Ropes & Gray's Hong Kong office and focuses his practice on capital markets and M&A transactions.

Global private equity strategy
