Foreign lawyers may be more easily admitted in Texas after rules proposed by the Texan legal profession has opened up the criteria for admission. The Texas Supreme Court is modelling the admission rules after New York - dropping requirements that those taking the bar exam had to be US citizens, US nationals or alients who were in the country legally to live or work.
