Indian law firm Trilegal has recruited a former head of ICICI Bank's corporate legal team in its Mumbai office. Kannan Rahul joins as a partner in the banking and finance practice. Mr Rahul is an expert in the areas of international banking, project finance, trade finance, general corporate lending, bond issuances and restructuring. He will be practicing out of the firm’s Mumbai office. Nishant Parikh, head of the corporate practice group at Trilegal said of the appointment: 'Kannan brings a wealth of experience in banking and finance, and is widely regarded for the quality of his work and advice.'

Most recently, Mr Rahur worked at J Sagar Associates and prior to that, at ICICI Bank Limited at Mumbai, and at Hong Kong where he was group head of the corporate legal team. Trilegal is one of India’s top-tier law firms with offices in five of India’s major cities of Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Gurgaon.
