The new group is led by two partners, Kevin Christmas and Chad Warpula. The office in Charlotte, North Carolina had grown to 19 lawyers after the first K&L group helped found it. Stephen Lewis, Troutman Sanders managing partner, said: 'Our plan for the Charlotte office has always been to feature a full-service practice, and the arrival of this corporate group moves us closer to the realization of that objective.' 

Gateway to China

Troutman is also opening a new office in San Francisco - and plans to do so on 1 April. The firm is in a pahse of rapid growht, having recently also announced two new hires in Atlanta.
