Moments ago I was fired,’ adding that serving as the federal government’s prosecutor in Manhattan ‘will forever be the greatest honour of my professional life.’ His tweet garnered millions of trtweets and likes. There are almost 100 US attorneys in the US and all are political appointees. Commentators have raised the question to whether the firing of so many at the same time could adversely affect ongoing cases.
