Law firms across the US were giving away turkeys in the run-up to Thanksgiving - including Orlando-based Pendas Law Firm, which has been handing them out for seven years.

Nearly 1,000 frozen turkeys were given away to people who queued up outside the Pendas Law Firm on a first come, first served basis. The total given out by the firm added up to about 3,000, because of similar operations put on by the offices in Jacksonville, Tampa and Fort Myers. Partner Lou Pendas said: 'The need is great, and it’s very humbling. This is just my way of trying to give back to that community that has supported me for so many years.'
