US litigation boutique to open in London

The 150-lawyer financial services practice BuckleySandler is to open a London firm to help clients meet growing international compliance requirements.

Data protection is one of the areas targeted by a new London arrival Maksim Kabakou

The firm is seeing growing demand for international advice on areas including privacy and data protection, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and anti-money laundering. Andrew Sandler, the firm’s chair, said: ‘As the enforcement, regulatory and litigation challenges facing our clients globalise, it has become apparent that we need to be in London to enable us to meet our clients’ global needs.’ James Parkinson, an international regulatory compliance specialist, is relocating from Washington DC to London to open the office.
