Watchell Lipton Rosen & Katz top the list of the 100 most prestigious law firms, follwed by Cravath Swaine & Moore, according to an annual Vault Survey.The survey, where nearly 17,000 associates were asked to rate the most prestigious law firms in the country, put Watchell, a BigLaw firm in New York, at the top again. Watchell has been ranked the top law firm for more than 10 years.

Rising stars

The top five included Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom, Sullivan  & Cromwell and Davis Polk & Wardwell. The biggest moves on the list included number 45 Cooley, up ten spots from last year, and Duane Morris, at 91, which is eight higher on the list this year. Survey responders could not rank their own firms and were asked to offer thoughts on only the firms they were familiar with, the Vault survey said.
