White & Case pumps up Middle East capital markets team by CC hire
White & Case has taken what it calls 'a strategic step' in strengthening its EMEA capital markets team by bringing on board Debashis Dey, formerly head of capital markets in the Middle East for Clifford Chance.

The arrival of Dubai-based Mr Dey brings the total of White & Case lawyers in the Middle East to 45. Globally, its capital markets team has some 220 lawyers. Rob Matthews, regional head of capital markets in the Middle East at White & Case, said: 'We continue to see the Middle East emerging as a financial centre and Islamic finance becoming an increasingly significant option within the capital markets arena.
