Airbnb has promoted Belinda Johnson to be its new chief operating officer. Ms Johnson was previously the company's chief business affairs and legal officer and is currently on the board of PayPal. Prior to that, she spent more than 11 years at Yahoo in roles including deputy general counsel and was also former general counsel at Broadcast.com. She was earlier a litigation lawyer at Littler Mendelson.

European mid-market private equity firm Idinvest Partners has appointed Guillaume Cavalin as legal director. Mr Cavalin will be involved in the structuring and the fundraising of investment vehicles in France and abroad and will report to Sylviane Guyonnet, partner and COO at Idinvest Partners. He joins from his role as senior associate at Jones Day (Paris), where he worked across the legal and tax structuring of private equity, infrastructure and debt funds. Prior to this, he spent three years in Japan working for international law firms Laurent Dubois Foreign Law Office and White & Case. He also worked in Luxembourg for Linklaters.

Australian medical technology company Admedus has appointed Tanya Mangold as company secretary and general counsel. She replaces Maja McGuire in the roles and brings 20 years of experience, gained in South Africa and Australia, to the role. She has work at Collins Food and PwC as well as in private practice at Minter Ellison.

Louisiana-Pacific Corporation has appointed Timothy Mann as the company’s executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. Mr Mann was most recently CEO and president of Axiall Corp, a global manufacturer where he initially served as general counsel. He was previously a partner at the global law firm Jones Day in the mergers and acquisitions practice. Mr Mann has also served in leadership positions at other organisations including as the founder and CEO of an accounting and IT temporary staffing company which he led through its initial public offering on the NASDAQ. 

Credible, the consumer finance marketplace, has appointed Jobe Danganan as general counsel and corporate secretary. Mr Danganan joins Credible from mortgage company Sindeo,  where he served as general counsel, chief compliance officer, and corporate secretary. Prior to joining Sindeo, he served as an enforcement lawyer at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the US regulator for consumer financial products, such as student loans, personal loans, credit cards, and mortgages. He was also a senior investigator for the US Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission.
