McDonalds has appointed its Tina Dekker as its UK general counsel. She replaces general counsel and company secretary Della Burnside who has left the company for private client law firm The Burnside Partnership. The company has also promoted Mandy Miller from head of legal (commercial) to assistant general counsel. Ms Burnside has been at the McDonald’s for more than 10 years. She has also held a number of directorships, including as non-executive director of NHSBT and as chair of McDonald’s UK Pensions Scheme. She has founded a number of businesses, and is currently a director of a technology start-up operating in the field of AI and machine learning.

Irish headquartered global aircraft leasing company AerCap has named Vincent Drouillard as general counsel. He is currently the head of legal leasing at AerCap, a position he has held since 2015. He joined ILFC in 2004 and last served as Head of Legal EMEA, prior to the acquisition of ILFC by AerCap. Mr. Drouillard was a lawyer at law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, before joining ILFC. He replaces Erwin den Dikken who will leave AerCap at the end of May 2018 and who served as chief legal officer since 2005. 

UK based global specialty pharmaceutical company Mallinckrodt has appointed Mark Casey as its general counsel. Mr Casey will join Mallinckrodt's executive committee and report directly to MNK president and chief executive officer, Mark Trudeau. Mr Casey as over ten years of experience as a healthcare industry GC. He started out as a patent attorney for Digital Equipment Corporation and EMC Corporation and also served as senior patent counsel at Boston Scientific and chief patent counsel and deputy general counsel at Cytyc Corporation. He was general counsel at Hologic and, most recently, at Idera Pharmaceuticals.

605, an advanced data and analytics company focused on the media and entertainment industries, appointed Sal Romanello as general counsel. Mr Romanello brings over twenty years of legal experience to his role, having represented numerous companies in a wide range of commercial disputes, including trade secret, insurance, employment, financial services, licensing and intellectual property matters. In his position at 605, Romanello will be focused on drafting and negotiation of client and vendor agreements relating to data and information licensing, and professional service agreements, as well as providing general legal support and counsel to the entire organisation. Prior to joining 605, Romanello was a partner in the complex commercial litigation practice group at law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges where he started his legal career in 1996. 

Deutsche Bank's Catherine McBride has joined Latham & Watkins in Hong Kong. She joins as a contentious regulatory partner in the Hong Kong office and will be a member of the white collar defense & investigations practice and the financial institutions group. Ms.  Most recently she served as associate general counsel, head of litigation and regulatory enforcement for North Asia-Pacific at Deutsche Bank based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, she also held senior roles at KPMG and Ernst & Young, in China and the UK respectively.
