Legal and compliance consultancy BarkerGilmore has recruited the former general counsel of Chubb to its coaching and advising team.  Maureen Brundage, who was also corporate secretary and chief ethics officer of the Chubb Corporation, joins the company to share her insights with the company's clients. As head of the global law department at Chubb, she managed a multimillion dollar budget and overseeing legal, regulatory, and compliance operations in 25 countries. Her job included redesigning compliance and ethics programmes, global risk management, and cyber and data security. Previously, she was a partner at White & Case,  heading the global securities law practice group and leading a worldwide team of over 150 people.

Former Fox Rothschild partner Samuel Israel has been appointed as vice president, chief legal officer and general counsel of the NYSE-listed pharma focused Lannett Company.Prior to joining Lannett, Mr Israel was a partner with Fox Rothschild - where he served as chair of the firm's pharmaceutical and biotechnology practice and handled a variety of commercial litigation matters. 

Amy Fliegelman Olli, formerly senior vice president and general counsel of Avaya, has been appointed to a similar dual-role at NYSE-listed Vmware, starting 28 August. Vmware said that Miss Olli will bring more than 20 years of legal experience in the enterprise technology sector to her duties as leader of the company’s global legal team. She will also oversee VMware’s commitment to comply with ethics and risk management practices. Ms Olli previously served as general counsel at CA Technologies and held various roles at IBM that included general counsel for the Americas business, global co-ordinator of sales and distribution and software and services lead for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Nymbus has appointed Richard Lang as general counsel. Mr Lang was a founding partner at Baldini Lang and has more than 25 years of executive-level domestic and international legal, compliance and ethics experience in the financial services industry. Prior to forming Baldini Lang, he was the chief ethics officer for HSBC Bank USA and the acting general counsel and chief compliance officer for Open Solutions until its acquisition by Fiserv.

CLP India has appointed Sudipta Ghosh as general counsel. Ms Ghosh, who joined CLP India in 2009 as legal counsel, will advise the company on various legal aspects of the business including litigation, and project financing. She succeeds Nabeel Saleem who left to head up the legal department of Monsanto India
