Making moves around the house this week are two general counsel, from Krispy Kreme and US Steel, returning to private practice.

The Krispy Kreme general counsel has returned to provate practic at Kilpatrick in North Carolina. Corena Norris-McCluney has rejoined law firm Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton in its Winston-Salem office after five years in-house at Krispy Kreme.

Former US Steel general counsel Suzanne Rich Folsom has joined Manatt in Washington. Ms Folsom has formerly had spells at AIG and the security contractor formerly known as Blackwater. She joins Manatt, Phelps & Phillips as a partner in the firm’s investigations and compliance practice in Washington DC.

SANNE, a leading global provider of alternative asset and corporate administration services, has appointed a new group general counsel. James Bermingham, a funds’ lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience, has joined SANNE’s team in Luxembourg. In his new role, James will be responsible for setting SANNE’s legal strategy to ensure an effective, efficient and adaptable operating platform that is best in class and provides unrivalled support to clients. He will also play an important role in helping guide the commercial strategy of the business, supporting its clients and representing their interests in industry, regulatory and governmental forums. Prior to joining SANNE, James was part of the management team at Aztec Group for 10 years, acting as the group’s general counsel and managing director of its Luxembourg office.

Lamis Hossain has joined the Uber ride-hailing company’s health venture. She has most recently been assistant general counsel at McKesson Specialty Health since July 2016. A longtime in-house lawyer at McKesson Corp. Ms Hossain has moved to Uber Health as its legal director.

Rob Fletcher is to join medical technology company Stryker on April 22 as vice president and chief legal officer (CLO). Mr Fletcher has spent almost 15 years at Johnson & Johnson, during which time he has held legal leadership roles including general counsel for both the medical devices and pharmaceutical sectors. Most recently, he has served as worldwide vice president for litigation. Before joining Johnson & Johnson, Fletcher served as corporate counsel for General Electric Aircraft Engines. Mike Hutchinson, who most recently served as vice president and chief legal officer responsible for the legal, compliance and corporate secretary functions at Stryker, will transition from his current role to serve as adviser to the CEO through May 2020.

All Star Recruiting, a US healthcare staffing company, has announced that Anthony E Szydlowski is to be the firm's general counsel, vice president. He will have complete oversight and management of the company's legal matters. Prior to joining All Star Recruiting, Mr Szydlowski previously served as general counsel to Phoenix Tower International LLC and Landmark Apartment Trust, Inc.
