Boeing 737

A former GC, Marc Allen, is to take the helm at Boeing International when the existing president, Shephard W Hill, stands down on 1 April.  Mr Allen moves to the International company from Boeing Capital where he has served as president. He has also worked at Boeing China and as international GC. He is 41. 

Huntingdon Ingalls Industries, the shipbuilder, has appointed Kellye Walker as GC and as corporate vice president. She was previously at American Water Works Co where she had been GC since 2010. Charles R Monroe, known as Chuck, is to serve as associate GC, secretary and corporate vice president. He will provide legal advice and work on coproate governance. He has been in the company's legal department since 2011. Both appointments take effect from 12 January. 

William Spicola is to replace J Layne Smith as GC for the Tallahassee-based Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Mr Smith is becoming GC for the Florida Lottery. Mr Spicola will head a team of 70 lawyers, of whom 62 are full-time. He is described as a 'wunderkind' by The Sunshine State News which says that he was still in law school eight years ago. 

Scripps Networks Interactive, owner of a portfolio of lifestyle media brands including Cooking Channel and Travel Channel, has announced that Mary Talbott is taking on the role of corporate secretary and deputy GC. She will be in charge of a wide range of governance issues, including filings to the Securities Exchange Commission and the New York Stock Exchange. 

The GC at the National Associate of Insurance and Financial Advisers is to take on the interim role of CEO while a permanent holder of the role is being sought. As well as bieng the GC, Michael Gerber is vice president of human resources. The vacancy resulted from the unexpected and sudden death of Susan Waters at her home in Washington DC. Mr Gerber has been with the association since 1999.
