Disney has extended its general counsel's job contract. Alan Braverman will have his agreement with the company extended through toJuly 2019 instead of next March under his previous employment agreement, according to an SEC filing. His salary will remain the same —  nearly $1.6 million — and he will also be granted a long-term incentive award no less than 225 per cent of his annual base salary. Mr Braverman started at the company as general counsel in 2003.

Broadcast media technology company Grass Valley, a Belden brand, has appointed Floyd Robichaux as regional legal counsel, APAC and Japan. He brings almost 40 years’ global legal experience to the position, which is based in Sydney, Australia. Prior to Grass Valley, Mr Robichaux held similar roles with Insight Enterprises and Pegaystems.

DNA and gene analysis company 10x Genomics has appointed Eric Whitaker as general counsel. He was formerly chief legal officer for cloud computing software company Nutanix. Prior to that, he was senior vice president and chief legal officer at San Disk and led the development and deployment of its patent portfolio. Before SanDisk, Mr Whitaker served as general counsel and corporate secretary for Telsa. 

Cloud hosting company San Antonio-based Rackspace Hosting has reshuffled its leadership. Tiffany Lathe, the company's first in-house lawyer to oversee its international operations, departs from the company which she joined in November 2007 as its international corporate counsel and later became part of the company’s senior leadership as senior vice president and general counsel. 

Michael Morris has joined Rasky Partners as general counsel and chief of its new cybersecurity practice. Previously, he founded his own law firm and consultancy, focusing on corporate/transactional law and provided strategic communications, business development and government affairs services.
