Social media giant Facebook will be adding Colin Stretch to more than its list of friend. He joins its management team as vice president and general counsel.

Facebook gets a new GC

Mr Stretch and Facebook first connected in 2010 and he is currently the company’s deputy general counsel. He will make the move upstairs on 5 July
In 2011, he was a lead negotiator throughout the legal drama that involved the Federal Trade Commission claiming that Facebook violated their user’s rights by sharing so-called ‘private’ information. He will replace Ted Ullyot who has held the position since 2008. Mr Stetch’s new responsibilities at Facebook include the oversight of its legal and security departments, according to Compliance Week.
