Political risk shoots up the agenda for general counsel

Political risk is fast becoming one of the top concerns for global companies, GC Futures delegates will hear.

Greater political risk is set to become one of the key issues for global companies as they come increasingly under public scrutiny. EY analyst Barry Perkins will tell delegates at the GC Futures Summit that this will have a major impact on companies as the tide increasingly turns in this direction. Research carried out for the summit reveals that more than one in two corporate counsel agree that legal departments will increase in importance as companies become more risk adverse. The event, which will take place on 1 November, will look at a range of issues affecting general counsel – from the impact of Brexit to developing key management strategies for law departments and innovating through technology.
