Tata picks up new GC from SAM

Law firm Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas has lost one of its top partners to Indian conglomerate Tata.

Shuva Mandal, national practice head of corporate, M&A and private equity at SAM & Co, is to leave the firm to join $100bn TATA Group as its group general counsel. He will be part of N. Chandrasekaran’s special team aiming to transform the TATA Group. Mr Mandal has been with SAM & Co for almost two years. During that time, he led the general corporate and M&A practice.
