Trinity Mirror general counsel exits

Paul Vickers, who led the newspaper group's response to the phone-hacking scandal, will leave the company as part of a restructuring.

Daily Mirror publisher Trinty has said good-bye to its veteran general counsel after a reshuffle abimages

The veteran general counsel, who worked at the comapny for 22 years, will receive a payout of more than £400,000. He will also receive a number of other bonuses going forward including £1 million from share schemes and incentive pay-outs which are due in 2015. He steps down with immediate effect as director and company secretary as part of a wider group restructuring from the newspaper group which includes tabloids such as the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and People.
