A&O ready to expand contract lawyer service through Asia and Europe

Having met with strong demand for the service Peerpoint, which it launched in 2013, Allen & Overy is planning deliberate growth and believes that Asia and Europe would prove fertile ground.

Over 60 per cent of A&O partners in London are believed to have used the service, which enables clients to use the services of contract lawyers as an alternative to normal working and billing arrangements. The firm now runs the service from the UK capital and Hong Kong. Richard Punt, Peerpoint COO, told The Lawyer: 'As Hong Kong continues to grow, there are other opportunities in Asia.'
