Baker & McKenzie's office in Yangon will be its 16th in the Asia Pacific and its 75th in the world.

Eduardo Leite, chairman of the firm's executive committee, said: 'Clients are increasingly looking to Myanmar and South-east Asia for growth opportunities, particularly as the ASEAN nations work collaboratively towards achieving the ASEAN Economic Community by 2015.'
