Baker McKenzie elects new North America managing partner

Colin Murray, managing partner of the firm's San Francisco/Palo Alto office, has been elected as Baker Mckenzie's next North America Managing Partner.

Mr Murray, who has practiced at Baker McKenzie for 17 years, will officially take up his new role a the start of July 2017. He will succeed Rick Hammett, who will continue his employment practice. A senior member of the firm's North America Litigation and Government Enforcement Practice, he has represented global and local clients in complex business disputes, has tried more than 50 cases to final jury verdict and has served as lead counsel in many bench trials and private arbitrations. He also serves on the Steering Committee of the North America Litigation and Government Enforcement Practice.
