Clients turn to web search to find lawyers

Some 38 per cent of respondents to a survey said they would use the web as the first port of call in looking for a lawyer, while only 29 per cent said they would ask families or friends.

The situation has changed significantly since 2005 when a similar survey was carried out, showing that only seven per cent would turn first to the internet. In today’s survey, ten per cent  said they would go to the local bar association and four per cent would try Yellow Pages. Source: ABA
