Clyde recruits Islamic finance specialist from Herbert Smith

Adil Hussain of Herbert Smith Freehills is joining Clyde & Co in Abu Dhabi, to head its Islamic finance team and take the number of partners there to seven.

A partner has moved to Clyde & Co Sophue Janies

The hire of Mr Hussain follows a series of international hires this year by Clyde & Co and means that it now has 39 partners in the Middle Eastern region. He said: ‘The Islamic finance industry has experienced dramatic growth in recent years and is predicted to double in industry size by 2017.’
