The dead man was 57 years old and was representing a mother in a child custody battle in the Copenhagen City Court. Police arrested the gunman afterwards and said that he was the 67-year old father in the case. Metal detectors are only used in the most concerning criminal cases in Denmark. Soeren Axelsen, the head of the court, said: ‘It is a family tragedy, not an attack on the court or the legal system.’ Source: ABA
