Immediately before the inauguration of Mr Trump as the 45th President of the United States in Washington DC on Friday, outside counsel Jones Day publicly confirmed at least a dozen enviable appointments for its lawyers throughout the new president’s White House, Department of Justice and office of the Solicitor General. Among the most prestigious titles scooped up by Jones Day staffers are that of Donald McGahn II, who will serve as White House counsel, William McGinley, who has been named deputy assistant to the president and cabinet secretary, and Gregory Katsas, who will act as deputy counsel to the president.

A full list of appointments can be found at Above the Law, where they were first reported.
