Lawyers work 45 hours a week in the UK

Lawyers work an average of 45.5 hours a week in the UK, more than counterparts in marketing (43.2 hours), IT, HR, accounting and secretarial, according to a survey from recruiters Robert Half.

Some 42 per cent of lawyers put in 50 hours a week or more. This is up two per cent on 2013. The survey also shows that only 30 per cent of lawyers, compared to 65 per cent of marketing executives, expect to look for a new job within three years. Source: The Lawyer
