Leading UK law firm opens in Hong Kong with special focus on employment

Lewis Silkin, which houses one of the world's largest employment law teams, is opening its first branch abroad - by sending two lawyers and four other staff to Hong Kong to serve the Asian market.

The UK employment team runs to some 90 lawyers. It is sending out Antonia Grant, immigration and global mobility partner, supported by Scott Anderson, senior associate, a trainee and three support staff. The new office will also work closely with other members of the Ius Laboris network to which it belongs.

Ever-changing

Lewis Silkin managing partner Ian Jeffery said: 'Given that many of our clients have significant business interests in the region, establishing a team [in Hong Kong] ensures that we are best positioned to support their ever-changing employment and global mobility needs across the region.'Source: Asian Legal Business
