Luxury law meets business

CEOs across the luxury industry will join lawyers to look at the challenges and risks facing this rapidly changing sector at this year's Luxury Law Summit on 19 May in London.

CEOs and top luxury business executives are heading to London for the 2015 Luxury Law Summit where CEOs will join celebrities in discussing the latest trends and risks facing the industry. From counterfeiting problems and solutions in China to cultural and reputation issues for luxury companies, the event will look at the risks facing the industry. Intellectual property, the grey markets, collaboration and new markets will be on the agenda.  Goldman Sachs luxury chief William Hutchings will look at the future of the industry whilst general counsel from top luxury brands will debate issues from managing a legal department to avoiding litigation.

The business angle

CEOs and founders of luxury companies - from luxury sunglasses designer Karen Walker to Vivienne Westwood CEO Carlo D'Amario -  will give their views on the industry and the challenges and opportunities in luxury whilst CEOs from some of the newest online companies such as Covetique will join private equity specialists to look at this rapidly growing sector. On the creative front, Marek Reichman, Aston Martin, Chief Creative Officer, will give an insight into creativity versus the business of making luxury cars whilst Georg Jensen's European president Steve Amstutz will talk about the art of collaboration.  Other top speakers at the event include celebrity milliner Philip Treacy OBE and the legendery Mary Portas.

The event will also celebrate the best in luxury law with legal and business innovators and achievers celebrated at a dinner.
