Mayer Brown sets up Hong Kong association with 280-lawyer firm

Top 15 global firm Mayer Brown is to sign an association agreement with one of the oldest and largest Chinese firms, Jingtian & Gongcheng, under which the two parties are expected to second staff, cross-sell and engage in joint marketing.

The two firms are also expected to look into how they can co-operate outside Hong Kong joyfull

The arrangement is expected to be formalised in the next month. After that time, the firms will share office space. The two firms are also expected to look into ways in which they can co-operate outside Hong Kong. Jingtian & Gongcheng is know for its securities and banking work provided through its team of some 90 partners and 185 other lawyers.

Consistently recognised

Mayer Brown has 1,500 lawyers in 19 offices around the world, including two China offices in Beijing and Shanghai. Jingtian has offices in Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
