Norton Rose Fulbright is growing its Canadian footprint with yet another local tie-up.

Vancouver, Canada jakobradlgruber

The global firm has confirmed the acquisition of Vancouver outfit Bull Housser, marking its third local takeover in Canada. Bull Housser has 92 lawyers (including 54 partners) and focuses on projects and transactions across industries including energy, mining, infrastructure, transport and commodities. NRF’s takeover of the firm, which is one of the largest in Vancouver, follows in the footsteps of its earlier acquisitions of Oglivy Renault in 2011 and Macleod Dixon in 2012, with the latter delivering NRF its first offices in Venezuela and Colombia.

Accessing British Columbia

‘Our respective clients want simplified access to our firm across Canada, the US western seaboard and the Pacific Rim,’ said NRF Canada managing partner Charles Hudson of the latest combination. ‘This combination addresses their need for that and provides a Vancouver presence. It also supports our clients with the regional and market knowledge required to capitalise on the domestic and foreign investment and development opportunities in British Columbia.’
