Paul Hastings creates pod spaces for junior lawyers in New York

The new office space that Paul Hastings is moving into next spring is to contain seating for first and second year newly-qualified lawyers in pods of 12 on the ends of floors, in spaces to be known as 'end zones'.

The end zones will be unveiled at the new Manhattan offices and will be separated from the main part of each floor by a glass wall. Dividers will be put along the table space to mark out the area that each lawyer can use.

True collaboration

Barry Brooks, chair of the Paul Hastings New York office, said: 'I really do believe first- and second-years will benefit from true collaboration - they feed off each other. I don’t feel bad about it. Source: Wall Street Journal
