The research was commissioned by the Law Society of Scotland. Overall, rather than thinking of an individual lawyer, respondents said that solicitors were trustworthy or very trustworthy. And 89% said that their solicitor was an expert in his or her area of law.

Highly regarded

Alistair Morris, president of the society, wrote in The Scotsman: 'We’re very pleased that the findings show that Scottish solicitors are highly regarded by the public, with the majority happy to recommend their solicitor to friends and family.' Source: The Scotsman
