Secretary role changed at UK firm Thomas Eggar

Six-office UK law firm Thomas Eggar is centralising its document production and reorganising the role of its secretaries.

Secretarial roles are changing at law firms Pressmaster

The firm has cut back on the number of receptionists and changed the lawyer-secretary ratio from 3-1 to 2-1. It now has 79 secretaries and 155 lawyers. Secretaries are to be known as team assistants in future, reflecting the aim to make cultural changes in the firm. 

The seven-strong document production team will also offer French and German language facilities and will run outside normal office hours. Source: The Lawyer
