Ohio-founded law firm Squire Sanders has bolstered its Middle East practice with the acquisition of El-Khoury & Partners' Middle East and North Africa (Mena) practice, which previously operated in Saudi Arabia as EK Partners & Al-Enezee.

Riyadh: Squire Sanders 'demonstrates commitment'

The global firm has now opened a fully integrated office in Riyadh, operating as Al-Enezee in association with Squire Sanders, reports Construction Week Online.

New Squire Sanders partner Ziad Ghassan El-Khoury – previously the managing partner of EK Partners & Al-Enezee - commented: ‘This is one of the first acquisitions of a Middle East law firm by a global legal practice.
‘It demonstrates Squire Sanders' long-term commitment to investing in Saudi. As part of a global practice, we can offer regional clients considerable added value, and will be able to leverage our presence in the Middle East, particularly in the telecoms, capital markets, projects and infrastructure sectors.’
