President Trump is reportedly considering drafting a new executive order on immigration as the original continues to sit dormant before the courts. However, the President also revealed that he expects his administration to ultimately win its case on the original order.

It is understood he made the remarks to reports on Air Force One over the weekend on his way to Florida.

Executive order caused chaos

Trump’s executive order, announced during his first week in office, has been vehemently opposed by many resulted in protests at airports and across the United States.

The President said he cast the order as crucial for national security.

He has now promised to take action "very rapidly" to protect the U.S. and its citizens in the wake of the appeals court decision, but did not specify what steps he planned to take.

A White House chief of staff representative has reportedly revealed that the administration is “reviewing all of our options in the court system,” including an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
