Law firms are very poor at project management, according to research conducted for the Future of Law Summit.

Lawyers are not good at project management Grasko

Seventy-two per cent of law firm respondents admitted that law firms are not good at project management with only 23 per cent disagreeing. Comments from respondents included 'Lawyers are taught to analyse the law...management is something they learn on the job.' Another said that those who were good on this front tended to be the larger firms. The subject will be discussed at The Future of Law Summit on 30 September 2014. Project management expert Professor Peter Harpum will discuss project management across industries whilst Edge partnership consultant Pam Woldrow, a leading exponent of Legal Project Management, will provide insight on what law firms can do to improve.
