Former Paul, Weiss partner's penthouse on sale for $15m

Arthur Liman's River House penthouse is selling in Manhattan for $15 million.

Arthur Liman, former Paul, Weiss partner and one of the great American lawyers in history, left behind more than just his legacy when he passed away in 1997. Today, his River House apartment is now on the market in Manhattan -- with a listing at $15 million, according to Abovethelaw.com. The Harvard College and Yale Law School Graduate worked at Paul, Weiss representing clients like Michael Milken and Time Warner. He also worked as assistant U.S. attorney, chief counsel of the commission that investigated the Attica Prison uprising, and chief counsel of the Senate committee that investigated the Iran-Contra affair. His son, Lewis Liman followed in his footsteps and is now a partner at Cleary Gottlieb, having been a former federal prosecutor.

Henry Kissenger lived there

The apartment has three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths, and covers more than 4,000 square feet on three levels.The River House is known as one of Manhattan's most well-known addresses, having been occupied by residents like Henry Kissinger, Kermit Roosevelt and Uma Thurman.
