Noerr opens in Brussels

German law firm Noerr has expanded its European presence by launching a Brussels office.

The law firm will initially have six lawyers in the office which will be headed up by Noerr partner Dr. Dominik Wendel . 
The team will provide advice on antitrust and competition  issues including state aid. Dr Wendel, who was previously based in Noerr's Frankfurt office, said: "The expertise of the Noerr Brussels team ensures that, apart from providing comprehensive advice on antitrust and competition, state aid and distribution law, regulatory questions can be dealt within close co-operation with colleagues from the German and Central and Eastern European Noerr offices".
 
Strengthening capacity
 
Dr Tobias Bürgers said of the move : “We are strengthening our long-term advisory capacity in strategic growth areas of the Firm…we are also improving our service in M&A transactions in the regulated industries.” Noerr, one of Germany’s top firms with 490 lawyers, recently opened offices in London and Alicante. It currently has five German offices, six in Central and Eastern Europe, and representation in New York.
