Norton Rose Fulbright launches suite of online law services for Canadian clients

Firm claims tech platform requires little coding enabling it to design new services quickly

Norton Rose Fulbright has launched a series of technology products in Canada as part of NRF Transform, its global change and innovation programme. The firm claims the platform requires little coding allowing it to respond quickly to clients' needs by developing new products that are offered on a complimentary basis.

Capabilities include the automation of repeatable requests, such as trademark and title searches, and the creation of centralised databases for regulatory compliance that can easily be accessed live online.

The Canadian products launched using the technology include NRF ContractorCheck - which allows clients to determine whether a member of their company is an employee or a contractor - and Critical Injury Check - which helps employers manage workplace accidents by, for example, flagging whether they should trigger reporting obligations.

There is also a tool that helps clients comply with Canadian anti-spam legislation and another that helps would-be charities with the steps they need to take prior to consultation with a lawyer.
