Pinsents sees post-merger turnover boost

Global law firm Pinsent Masons has reported a five per cent increase in turnover following its merger with one of Scotland's largest law firms.

Merger mania feels 'pretty good' at Pinsents

In its first annual financial report since the link up with McGrigors, Pinsents posted a turnover of £309 million. The previous combined turnover of the firms stood at £294m, according to the Herald Scotland.

'Pretty good'

Pinsents reported turnover of £221m in the previous financial year, prior to the merger, meaning it has seen 40 per cent growth following the deal – the largest between a Scottish and English firm when finalised in May last year.
Kirk Murdoch, Pinsent Masons chairman for Scotland and Northern Ireland, said the financial results were ‘solid and satisfactory’.
Mr Murdoch added: ‘We would always like it to be more but we are reasonably happy with the outturn. It is pretty good.’
