Mr Miller’s appointment to the helm comes after longstanding leader Mr Watmough retired from the firm last month after nine years at the helm. Mr Miller, who stepped down as head of the firm’s insurance practice group today, has been working with RPC for over two decades and has been a member of the firm’s management committee for the last eight years. Most recently, he had been serving as the firm’s interim leader alongside commercial head Tim Anderson while the election process for Mr Watmough’s successor took place. In a statement following his election, Mr Miller described RPC as a firm with ‘real momentum’ that has benefited from prioritising long-term investment over short-term gains, noting an 11.5 per cent net growth of the business over the last five years. The recent election also saw RPC senior partner Rupert Boswall handed a second term.
